After Lent is over and warm weather is here once a month in front of Kroger’s in East Peoria members cook and sell pork chops. The proceeds combined with the fish fries are used to support various charities. This is done May through Oct.

The recipient of the majority of the funds raised is Msgr. Larry Kanyike of Uganda seen here in the picture on the right. Msgr. studied in the U.S. and was ordained by his bishop at St Monica parish in East Peoria. Msgr. visits every two to three years.

We will serve as much as twenty plus loins in a day. This work is divided in two shifts between 11 am and 5 pm
